Scotland's South West Coast - Stranraer

Stranraer had an unusual drinking fountain. It was originally built in the middle of the main street as a memorial to Queen Victoria in 1897. After a number of near misses and car crashes it was moved and rebuilt here near the Tower. The words at the top say 'The Pavement Keep Dry' - very odd - or is it 'Keep The Pavement Dry' - still odd!
